Motel Pictures produces inspiring, provocative, commercially-viable content with an original voice, aimed at an adult audience. The company is led by co-founder and producer, Nicole Hilliard-Forde.

Productions by Motel Pictures include the documentary, The Side Street Project, which was optioned by Google Canada and licensed to Canadian broadcaster Superchannel, and screened at NXNE (2008), the Atlantic Film Festival (2008) and the Park City Film Music Festival (2011); the bravoFACT short film, Marshall Law, starring Linda Kash (Best in Show), which was invited to the New York Television Film Festival (2014) and the Maui Film Festival; and the independent feature film, The Other Half, written and directed by Joey Klein and starring Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, Woman in Gold), Tom Cullen (Downton Abbey, Weekend), Suzanne Clément (Laurence Anyways, Mommy) and Henry Czerny (Revenge, Mission Impossible).

Nicole Hilliard-Forde

Motel Pictures is led by co-founder Nicole Hilliard-Forde, who is responsible for business planning and overseeing  development and production. Nicole is a respected media professional with an eye for new and emerging talent demonstrated by her work as Producer of TIFF Rising Stars – a talent accelerator initiative of the Toronto International Film Festival. She is also an Emmy-nominated, independent casting director with over 15 years experience.

Nicole’s relationships within the industry, ability to identify on-camera and literary talent, and her aesthetic sensibility, drive Motel Picture’s ability to produce exceptional content. She is a member of the Casting Society of America, Television Academy of Arts & Sciences and Canadian Media Production Association.
